Some one told me that we can earn some money with this directories service. Yes --that someone who told you this is right. If you are serious --first spend atleast 10hrs on this section for 3 weeks. READ-READ_READ_READ what these people are saying --discussing. then follow their guide --check everything yourself --suit an strategy for yourself --and VOILA.

Well if you create a directory, don't do it just for the money. If you do, your directory will never be successful. Concentrate on building a good and quality directory first, then only the money will follow

hey, ramesheuk. First of all welcome to this section. Having a directory can make you some profit if you manage it right. As people said you can benefit a lot from this forum, on gaining some knowledge on the subject. You may also want to read this tutorial I wrote for my blog. Yeah ! U can earn $$$$$ from directory business.But it takes some time and $$$. First u start three or four directories.Then work hard to get them ranked.If ur getting some PR then ur going to make a lot of money !
I'd suggest starting with one directory (unless you have a lot of money to invest in promotion). Promote it well and when you get to PR4/5 some money will start coming in.
