    Hey there,
Recently, my website was bumped to the second or third page of Google search engine results when I used to be number one! I think it has something to do with me installing a SSL cert for certain parts of my site. How do you recommend I get my site back where it belongs? I have implemented a sitemap, but that didn't seem to help.

P.S. I apologize if this is miscategorized.

Ehm, your site doesn't "belong" anywhere as far as Google is concerned...

I would check into the URL to see if Google indexed the "http://..." before and you now have "https://..."

SO many things can cause this. But based on what you are saying I would guess that it's more likely that it's a factor you can control that caused this. Maybe you can tell more specifics?

One thing IS true: if you (sitewide) changed all your links to forcibly use "https://"...well...that is a different URL than if your site was entirely "http://" previously.
