I don't think the site looks bad at all. The only thing I would really recommend is reducing the clutter. All your content just seems to be squished into one small part of the page. Maybe add a tad bit of space in between each ad/article/menu?
Looks like a lot of work has gone into the site. There is a bit of information overload on the frontpage. But then it seems the site is very large with alot of content so i guess this is necessary. Also the menu title-bars do not seem to be the same/uniform throughout the site. Could bring the site together a bit more?
Love this! About the logo: I think (and I'm a teen myself too btw) that you should make the logo a bit more web2.0; would be great together with the other parts of the site. Also, while the site has a lot of sections and interactive information, it would also be nice if there was a bit more content at one page, and less "ads". Further, I must say I love the menu. Very smooth and nice navigation Keep it up!!
Nice domain name I think the site needs quite a bit of work.. A clean layout like http://youngbutstrong.com/ (but using a glossy kiwi icon instead) would make your site look more fresh
