This is what happened few days ago : If anyone knows why I didn't get commission for these three Kindle books, please let me know.
I also noticed a few months ago after I sold some Kindle ebooks and didn't get an referral payment as well. My advice is to not promote Kindle ebooks anymore. Focus on more paying products instead.
Amazon have never given commissions for kindle books. Its been that way since they introduced them! Its in the terms of service (or whatever amazon call them)
ouch ... here it is on Amazon's site: https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/gp/associates/help/operating/exclusions
Thanks @mrsray for the link. I didn't really know about the exclusion list, now I know why I didn't get any referral. I think that link is worth a nice read.
I didn't know about this too. What exactly their definition of Digital Products ? Link goes to TOS page.
Do Kindle books at least count towards your volume total? Meaning, can you get into a higher commission tier because of Kindle book sales that don't actually generate commissions themselves?
I haven't checked, but I'm guessing they count as they are counted as orders referred by you, only that you are not compensated for the sale. So, it should count. But it's worth checking though.
That use to be the case, but I think that changed. I think in the beginning they had problems getting enough wii's to cover the demand.
Just found this out myself today. 3 kindle book sales $0. Total crap. I'm beginning to wonder if being an Amazon affiliate is worth it there are so many stupid rules.
