Just curious as to what the thoughts are on the "Home" link that is found on most website navigation menus today. As far as SEO is concerned, it seems like we should drop this in favor of a keyword rich label. When every page on the site has a link back to the home page, it seems like a great opportunity to add some quality hyper link text instead of something as general as "Home". Or is this more of a usability thing and we should include the quality text links within the content of our sites?
For a while I used keyword-rich anchor text from all inner pages to my Home page. Recently I changed them all back so that the link now reads simply "Home". I'm getting sick and tired of making decisions based more on SEO than on user-friendliness. "Home" is user-friendly, and I've gone back to using it. If I lose a little bit of rankings and traffic (and that remains to be seen), but my readers are happier, so be it. I'm for my readers.
Yes this is a good approach to put the keywords instead of writing the 'Home' when linking to your index page through the main navigation of the site. It is helpful approach in terms of seo and rankings. But putting link in the content is tricky part, take care before putting the link on your content of the site.
