tested, then restested started out as an affiliate to test the market, built a mailing list, surveyed the list, created the product, tested with my list. tweaked sales letter for best conversions. then ran a test ppc campaign. after I got good results, I worked on branding and now its ready to launch. This is the formula most big product launches follow. this is also a great market for bum marketers, using videos and articles has shown great returns. this is something thousands of people are searching to solve everyday, point them to this and make some moolah! this niche is oozing with long tail keywords.. do some basic research and get your domains registered
It's a pretty competitive niche, care to share your conversions seeing as you have extensively tested your product?
sure, if you must know...my testing has averaged about 1 in 28. I really hate giving a specific number before launch though, because my own pre-testing conversion rates don't mean too much. I mean they do, but they don't. . the conversion rate will change with Clickbank and affiliates. (I didn't use Clickbank, or the product name/branding for testing) two people split testing with ppc and articles to tweak an offer is a lot different than affiliates sending traffic for sales. I also don't know what affiliates will do for traffic, how they'll presell..etc. I know a lot of beginners send tons of crap traffic hoping to convert x in xx visitors. So an average of all isn't important. (to me at least) and clickbank payment processing will change conversions slightly as well. not that its bad or anything, but just the processing method and steps involved will change slightly. with all these variables, I feel it's tough to pinpoint a number to give out before all this happens. it's just so vague. what i planned on doing was posting updated conversion rates from clickbank after launch, as to show how its really converting for affiliates. showing what the top 10 affiliates are converting at is more honest. this is the best way to stay transparent about the conversion rates..I hate when vendors announce conversion rates before a launch, only to never update and show you how people are converting after its live. some do and thats great, but most don't. I just think conversion rates are more relevant after launch, than before. however its not just a product launching, then it dies out. this, like the niche, will be around for a long time, so I'll post current conversion rates as time goes on, and will always be testing/tweaking to push them to the max. as for competition, this is where it gets cool... its really not that bad...dog training itself is super competitive, but when you lean more towards the puppy side, it lightens up. there are only a handful of quality products out there, and only a few of those are on Clickbank. and lots of sellers in this niche have crappy sales pages... also its an interesting point in the customers spending habits. when people get puppies, they are in more of a spending mood than with an adult dog. puppies bring additional expenses, and people are in way, "prepared" to spend for them. plus, search wise, its awesome. for example, i did a quick run on Google's keyword tool for puppy training. Picked a long tail, "crate training your puppy" - 1,300 search/mo. 23,900 competing pages (as I type this). this is perfect for writing an article or even building a blog and taking the top spot. and this niche is literally littered with these as you lean more towards the puppy side of things hope this helps, and hope to see you on board!
"I have been to the moon today" Show proof of your conversions if you are 100% honest and you want to convince people to start promoting your product provide proof. If your product is solid and you stand behind it take a few seconds to take a few pictures of your conversion rate! It's better for you not for us.
its pretty decent looking and porducts outside of the MMO niche always have a good chance of doing ok. good luck
