thats true.i am not too experienced in article marketing but i have learnt that its very much a hit and miss situation.you promote all your articles and some may still not get many views and some may bring loads of traffic.
A bit of topic .. But since you've brought it up, I'll tell you one thing -- To choose a high converting product will require your patience and lots of testing.
Word I see it already. I chose a few categories in clickbank which I'm willing to look into and I'm starting to narrow the chosen products down.
When it comes to narrowing down your list of potential "converting products" make sure you're testing each one of them in at least 300 - 500 hops. >> (targeted traffic).
Some good stuff on here precious 007. After reading the Bum Marketing report by Travis Sago, I can see the leverage that submitting alot of quality articles can give you. He recommends you write up to 10 articles a day (which is excessive) & just concentrate on mainly Ezine & Go Articles & make each article roughly 300 - 500 words with a good layout & give the customer a reason to click on our link. I think if you aim for 5 articles a day, 5 days a week then, this is more than enough & you won't dement yourself & still gives you more than 1000 articles per year. Choose promotional products that are in demand & do your keyword reasearch with the free google keyword tool. Type in the main keywords of what you are promoting & then check to see the kind of searches there are for the keywords, always choose the keywords with low competition, as it's better to be on page 1 with your article for a low competition keyword than page two for a high competition keyword. My aim with all of my articles is to get 100 - 150 views for each article & 15 - 20% URL click through rate. A top marketer stated that, if you treat every decent article you do as one sale of about $20, based on the average views & click through rate then, if you can produce 25articles per week then that would amount to $500 a week in the long run - not bad ! As you say it is a numbers game & nothing truer than with article marketing, whoever submits the most articles wins. Mark
Those are some great numbers on average. However some articles can get indexed for more valuable keywords and generate a couple thousands with one single article. True enough it doesn't happen very often but if you're lucky then you're banking big time.
What I found with with keywords is that it is better to go with a keyword that gets between 100 - 2000 a month searches with low competition than, one with thousands of searches with high competition. I tried this out recently & it's already making a difference. I wrote six articles about a certain companies main product line & used one of their popular presenters names in the article body & as a keyword & who has low competition for keywords & now I'm on page one with two articles & page two with four articles for the presenters name & ofcourse it's related to the product I'm affiliated to. hi precious , in your starting replies in this thread you mentioned that you had wasted time on acne niche . well i was starting to build traffic through articles on acne only . i have already bought a domain for it . I could write 6-7 articles every weekend . Would i be wasting my energy or should i concentrate on something else.
You would be wasting your time by trying the acne niche. It is the perfect loss niche.I used to recieve conversion at 1 in 210.Stay away from it.
I'm starting another article marketing campaign, just took a moment to subscribe. Looking for people who share experiences in this field and more tips from the OP
I agree. Why sell info-product those with acne? People with acne are going to buy physical products online -- skin cream, medicine, etc. Not some silly eBook.
@precious007 can you tell me where i can find a content writer for $3? can i submit same articles to all articles directory listed upside?
88. Send link exchange requests to Matt Cutts, Tim Mayer, Tim Converse, Google, and Yahoo!. From 101 Seo Article ROFLLLL I am SO going to try this LOL
There's 3 places where you can look for writers, and there are some awesome writers that will write unique/quality articles for $3 - $5. Elance.com , Freelancer.com , Warriors For Hire. Always ask for feedback, samples of their previous work. (On elance there's reputable teams of writers with a lot of positive feedback)
precious007, How many articles did you submit to article directories? 500 articles? 1,000? Did you optimize all articles with targeted keywords for the top ranking at major search engines?
I've submitted thousands over the past two years or so. Only some of the articles will get ranked no all (that if you work on optimization) Al.
