Kill the CAPS LOCK button

I think if I were to add the number of seconds lost because I accidentally hit caps lock, I would have spent a couple of hours. Is there a good way to disable the caps lock button on my keyboard?

I want to try to see what its like with it disabled. I don't think it will bother me a bit.

I used to have the same problem

You can use the .reg files from JohnHaller.com to Disable Caps Lock

You can change Caps Lock into a SHIFT key or disable Caps Lock entirely.

You could always just rip off the button. I removed the windows button from my gaming PC, hit it at a couple inopportune moments.

I use it to turn it off after hitting it instead of shift...

I love my caps lock button and would never banish it.

I used to talk IN CAPS ALL THE TIME on here when I first arrived, until a few crazed DP members went mental at me.

I remap caps lock to control on every machine I use.

Not only is caps lock pointless, it's where control should be!

Now be fair. I apologized for that already. I also apologized for Bryan Adams and Celine Dion.

Now I think you should apologize for Boy George and the Thpice Girlth.

:D I wasn't actually thinking of you when I wrote that, squishy. As I would never call you a crazed DP member.

I can't apologise for the Thpice Girlths, but I'll give you Boy George & Ozzy Osbourne.

It is an offensive button. I did it a couple of times today actually. Never really thought about it seriously though. Well done for actually putting into words though!
