Kill Process

    I need some help. I run a site that uses SoX frequently. I went from a managed hosting to vps where I handle mostly everything. What is happening is that there are some SoX processes that get stuck and dont close out properly but they still use CPU is there a way to clear these out automatically?

    Yes you can with a shell script

    What OS is it and are the processes you are trying to kill zombied ?

    it is cent os....what do you mean by zombied?
    the process seems to complete but it never terminates the process so it keeps using cpu
