If you are trying to take the niche is there a big difference for seo ranking

    keywordsuffix.com vs keyword.wordpress vs keyword.blogger.com

Now obviously domain looks more serious to the visitor then some blog.

But i would like to get an opitions regarding seo rankings.

When you start a brand new domain it will have 0 ranking. But wordpress and blogger are established domains.

so is it really worth it to build a domain for a small niche? instead of

    keyword.wordpress or keyword.blogger.com option?

I even think that for the immediate results wordpress and blogger will be much better choices and keywordsuffix.com would come out ahead only as a long term plan.

    So what do you think?

Personally, I believe in establishing authority using my own domain. Regardless of any other factors that may positively influence your Page Rank, having a dot com or net will automatically give you more authority than a cheap domain. Using a wordpress or blogger domain to me is not really ever an option unless I am creating a feeder site, but that is just me.

I'm with red, own domain all the time. Plus it's also useful if you want to branch out and do something other than blogging on your domain.

For SEO there is no partiality. We see serious bloggers and wordpress admins rank high than the normal dot coms. From SEO front there is no difference.

But from a branding perspective if you have domain with your own name, you get more authority.
