Keywords?

Hey guys.

Well since im new to these kind of stuff i need some help. Can someone please tell me what keywords are and what they do. How do they help you out with your website? And all the other information that comes with keywords

Keywords are the words which searchers type in search text box of search engines and you need to optimize your webpages for these keywords so that you can rank higher and get visitors to your web pages.

 

Pretty much as what Mong has mentioned. In additional, search engine also determine the relevance of your keywords with the query text.

Hi Majkata,

You should also focus on the 'keyword density' of your content, i.e. the ratio of keywords to other text. Ideally you should shoot for a density of around 3%-6% - any more or less could hurt more than it helps.
