Hello, I have read some posts but I wasn't able to find an answer to my question. For months (3 months to be exact) now Google has indexed me "www.PumaTalk.com" however when I key in a keyword that i have in my meta tags ex: Puma or Puma shoes.... my site will not show up. I have viewed as many as over 100 pages on GOogle to see if I show there and nothing yet. Is it possible that Google takes a long time? Or they don't have me indexed for my keywords? The reason I am asking for help is because I find it a little strange that Yahoo.com has me number 7 or 6 for the keyword Puma out of 18 000 000 Puma sites & number 11 or 17 for the keyword Puma Shoes out of 5 000 000 sites. I am doing very well in Yahoo & Msn but google is just taking a bit of time. I am patient however what frustrates me is that Im not sure if it's prolly a mistake from my end that I need to adjust. Here's a screenshot of my ranking position on Yahoo for the keyword Puma... I'm just struggling with Google. If any of you can input your opinion and give me some tips that would be amazing. When I launch new sites for clients I have found that 98% of the time it does take 4 to 6 months to get some Google action going where their yahoo and MSN listings begin to show much quicker. Hey Rick, Thanks alot for the reply mate, what is considered a backlink? Meaning posting a alink to my site on appropriate websites? such as Web Directories? Again don't you find it funny how Yahoo will give me a high ranking and google wont? Essentially shouldn't both yahoo & google operate a little similar or not? Joey Dee
You should research google more, as they do not give anymore credit to the meta tags, then your text on the site, which makes metatags about useless for google rankings. What you need to find is someone out there that will offer you backlinks based on keywords, that is quickest way to get to google. The only one I know of is: www.pr5links.net, but you will have to go through one of their resellers if you do not have 5 to 10 sites to sign up at once... We have used their links for a little while now, and had decent results, but do not rely on them fully for SEO...
Dude you're ranking in the top 10 for Puma in Yahoo after 3 months, and you're complaining? Create specific pages or threads in your forum about your keywords: Puma Shoes, etc.. and then start buildling links to them individually. By the way.. with 2,800 searches/day and you ranking in the top 10 for Puma..... why don't I see any AdSense on your site! Pete

It's going to be a Online Puma Community offering interactive features (such as blogs, contests, video/image upload). We want to Connect with the Puma Lovers all over the world. I guess I just gotta be a little more patient Now creating backlinks again that's just posting links in directories because I have allready done around 400 of them. I have created affilates with Sneaker websites & Magazines. Ahh! Nice designs.. I can see Puma wanting to actually buy this off you in the future - no wonder they gave you a call. It sounds like you're doing everything you need to then in regards to SEO and link building. If you haven't read up on Googles Sandbox, check the forum in here specifically on the subject and read the FAQ. You really won't show up for Puma in Google for a long, long time I imagine - perhaps over a year or more. It's too hard to say.. Pete

The design I been working on it for around a Year, because i'm a Film Student so i dont get all my time to sit on the computer and design I gottabe in the studio working you know what i mean brov. Yah the dude by all means I'll post you the code it's a MARQUEE BEHAVIOR. Ok so what you would do is, just upload your pics online on your sever. The size of the scrolling boxes are 275x200 to get the picture to look very nice I'd say get it to that resolution. Because let's say your pic it like 640x480 it will squeeze to fit 275x200 and it wont look nice.. after your done upload your pics Basically just remove all my links that says PumaTalk....
