Keywords tool just stops working - not funny anymore

    After about 8+ months of using the keywords tool to retrieve keyw's & generate variations i've gotton deathly ill of the keywords tool (both retrieve & gen) repeatedly failing to function EVERY TIME after about 15-30min of use (maybe 45 if i'm REAL lucky). I have been left with nothing more then to assume that google does this intentionally. It can stop working within 15min or less if google starts reviewing / retrieving / accessing the pages associated with the ads. After this happens it can be an hour to several hours until the keywords tool starts working again. This results (and i have no doubt this is intentional) in the general setup of ad groups taking easily 5x the amount of time to setup then it should. I'm convinced google intentionally chokes peoples keyword retrieval.

    I don't think it is intentional

    it is a known bug of keyword tool.

    The only workaround I know is to close your navigator and reopen it again. If you do not close and open your navigator and continue to work in other adwords things they'll become very unstable at most.

    If you close your navigator and reopen it - the keyword tool will work normally immediately.

    Could you please make pressure to the adwords support for a solution for this? If all of us make pressure they'll give more priority for this thing.

    I WISH closing the browser worked but it doesn't for me, in fact from what i can tell not even using a diff machine does anything. None the less logging out & then back in again (tried that too) - btw its not a 'bug' if its intentionally neglected & ultimately google gains from it somehow, i no longer find this situation coincidental at all.

    Logging out will not work.

    Are you using Internet explorer? if so is hard to close all Browser instances using Windows.

    If you are using Internet Explorer try using Mozila Firefox and the close browser workaround strategy may work.

    I use FF primarily but in times of desperation i've loaded IE and gotton the same result, this is not an EU problem

    yes, probably we are talking about different problems with similar symptoms on keyword tool.

    anyway, keyword tool sucks - it stop working for me also after 20 min.

    From my side the Adwords technicians people keep asking me very details regarding the problem like: what is my firefox version, what is the keywords that I use, screenshots, etc...

    apparently they were very interesting in collect details to solve the problem.

    Sounds like a smoke screen to me, this problem has existed for entirely too long (regardless of browser or system) for it not to be anything other then the direct result of google's own decisions. The tech you talked to may very well think it actually is a bug and just keeps sending up reports.

    I've had to send in screen shots & details for things that were blatently obvious before (other situations) and ultimately either got a canned response or no resolution. I do not at all put it past them to force a burdon of proof on the EU and uses that as a scapegoat
