Hi, My site is currently ranking on the frontpage (I believe) in the US on Google for these phrases: Affordable Electronics Affordable Electronics Shop Affordable Electronics Store Cheap Electronics Cheap Electronics Shop Cheap Electronics Store Electronics Shop Electronics Store Consumer Electronics Consumer Electronics Shop Consumer Electronics Store Home Electronics Home Electronics Shop Home Electronics Store Sorry for the long list. However, now I'm starting to run out of keywords to target. I'm wondering whether to try and move on or should I work hard to get #1 spot on each of these?
Simply rewrite all the articles (if you are ranking with articles) and optimize them on those keywords. To get more results, submit articles on other keywords outside the above list to free articles directories and link back to your site. All the best
You can promote your inner pages: Camera & Photo Cell Phone & Service Computers & PC Hardware DVD Players & Recorders iPods & MP3 players Office Electronics Speakers TVs & HD TVs Video Games
All I can suggest is that maintain your good rankings in those highly search KWs. Keep in link building that KWs, TARGET TO BE the #1 if you want some challenge.
I would suggest keep using these keywords to get the top rankings then move on to some other keywords this way you can keep going strong while you work out the other keywords.
Being on the 1st page is not good enough. It is a good accomplishment, but you won't get much traffic unless you can get to the top 3. So keep working hard to get all of those keywords near the top of page 1. Personally I don't think you should bother moving on to promoting your internal pages instead. Each of those pages is a very competitive niche that would be best targeted with a separate website.
You want #1 position in google, that means you are going to overcome your competitors. I would suggest you to do little research on your competitor's sites. Identify the the things that are helping them to promote and keep their site in #1 position. try to submit your site in those sites, build some more internal pages with your keywords, dominate the competitor by using your keywords as Titles for your articles or internal pages. It'll take some time, but the end result was your site will be on #1 Good Luck, Kranthi.
Being on the 1st page for 50 keywords is better than being top3 for 10 keywords that is why I see no point in focusing on getting the top3 I have worked for customers who had large websites and the ones that generated the most traffic and sales are the ones that were present on 1st page for more than 50 keywords.... not the ones that had top3 for a handful of keywords... my 2 cent.
He's right. Do it, and do it right. for the keywords, how about using Google's keyword tool? Best of luck!
I agree with you, keep optimizing for this keywords, targeting many keywords gives you the chances of gaining more visitors and popularity.
