Keywords to change Ads

    Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone know, how many keywords do you need to place on a page in order to get your adds to display adverts for the chosen keyword?

I have been creating some new pages and I'm getting ad's not relevant to the page in question, I've tried stuffing a few new keywords on the page but the ads are not changing?

    Any idea's?

Have you given enough time for new adds to show? I don't think that you will see a difference righ away. It might take some time for the mediabot to have a look see.

do you think 30 minutes is long enough, or give up for now, get some sleep and check later? :)

I would think longer. Check your log files (if you can) and look for Mediapartners-Google/2.1 . I'm pretty sure it's the only way google knows what adds to display on your page. If it hasn't spidered your site since you've made the changes then it doesn't know about them yet. Unless anybody knows otherwise...

Morning all, I've been up for 10 minutes and check the ads I was talking about and they are still showing the wrong contect, so the first question still stands, does anyone have any ideas how many keywords I will need to put in?

Keywords is only part of it. The url seems to play a big role as well as the Title, etc

Of course my AdSense knowledge is limited compared to yours critter. I'm surprised you haven't set up a test site to try to figure out what gets the most weight when it comes to determining which ads are shown.

You could create a bunch of exactly the same pages and only change one thing at a time on each.

LOL, this is only my 3rd month using it and I have 4,000 less posts on DP than you :)

Not had any time to do anything on my GAS sites this month, so they are slipping, but next month I will be back on the case :)

About 10 of them being in the AdSense part of the forum. I have read every one of your threads and each one has been a good one when it came to increasing your CTR. It isn't the posts, its how you use them ;)

I just dabble in AdSense as I prefer actual product but an extra buck is an extra buck!

I noticed by chaning the files names also, that there is a big difference in the ads shown.

Its just another reason for Mod_ReWrite

/keyword/keyword.html brings back better and more consistent ads then php?id=34234

I'm having the same problem. Thanks for the advice on changing file names. I will try that and report back.
