I have a quick question, I recently made a post about: hypoallergenic dog food on my Dog Food Blog. About 10 mins after I made the post I checked the position of my blog post on google for the keyword, "hypoallergenic dog food" and it was 11th. Now here is my question: Will this position increase as I build more links for my homepage? Or do I have to build links to this specific post to increase the position? Thanks!
Of cource, the "both" is the best! But if you have a choice, you should build more links for that page. As I see, Google put priority position for keywords in higher PR pages! So you should build links for the specific pages to higher their PR.
I think you will build more and more link. also you getting links with the keyword in the anchor text. it will beneficial for you and Getting back link from relevant to your site
Getting links to homepage will help all yur posts where as when you try to build links for the above said page will help in PR for that page only
increasing PR to the homepage from inbound quality links can affect pages deeper within the site, providing the page linking strategy for your site is good. However, your linkjuice gets diluted the further into the site (i.e. covers more pages) so link to the specific pages for the keyword AS WELL AS linking to the homepage- best of both worlds!
