I'm just having a little brainstorming session and wanted to get some outside input. I am in a market whereby I am selling physical objects to Joe public. When I want to run an ad for a new product I do some keyword research and come up with good list of variants. Now I want to modify the list to include phrases that include terms indicative that people are looking to buy. I'm thinking along these lines: buy widgets widgets for sale widget shopping purchase widgets online store selling widgets The question then is what terms have other people found that searchers actually type in when they are looking to buy something? Any ideas much appreciated.
Log in to Google adwords, and use their keyword tool. Input some of your phrases and look for variants. You can the arrange the results according to the average search volume and according to last month's search volume. You can then see how often people are using those particular phrases in the Google engine. Some will have high competition, while other phrases and terms will have relatively little competition.
use google keywords - I think it is the best and export it to excel - it is the best way to mathematically determine good keywords and cheap ones too
