Keywords targeting the home page

Hello friends,
Facing a small problem please advise me what should be done in this situation?
Client has given some keywords but all the keywords are not targeting the main page but some of them are coming in search with inner pages of website. So to target all the keywords for home page do I have to start the SEO from the first step?

I think u need to place those keyword in your them, and update your content..

 

When you are doing new mentions in meta tag or title, first it will go down in the search engine pages and then it will come up with the time in the top pages of the SE.It will seem a complete entire new page to the search engine..!!

 

Why do you want all the keywords targeting the home page? Spread the love around!

 

Just update your content with your meta tags and keywords.

 

I'm shocked that you have paid clients and don't know the answer to this basic question. No wonder the SEO industry has a bad reputation!

 

I suggest you refund your client and tell him you know nothing about SEO. Also that your sorry for lying to him and wasting his time.

 

You need to do 2 things:

1) Make your homepage and its content optimized for those keywords.
2) Build backlinks for those keywords with homepage with target URL.

This way you can control URL/keyword combination.
