My Question might sound dumb to some of you, but for lets say for keyword " Blue widgets", given blue-widgets.com is unavailable do you prefer blue-widgets.NET to all-bluewidgets.COM ? I Heard having certain keywords like "ALL" and " DIRECT" and "hyphens" in domain names don't hurt the SEO and Specially Rankings through Google...basically search engines tend to ignore them...though I Dont know if that's true. I'm trying to build a network and for a popular keyword with high CPC, ofcourse most of the exact domains are already taken. but having a lot of unique articles still persuades me...
blue-widgets.net for sure. COM isn't that much of a boost that it would do better than both a hyphen and just a random word.
I prefer .com and dislike use hyphen in the domain name. You can use combination of the word rather than use of hyphen. If some one use special symbol and hyphen in the domain name it is to difficult to remind in future.
I also prefer .com Work more in that name, the "all" wont make anything useful, you can benefit more from an original and unique name than with one of combined words.
Honestly, EMDs are overrated IMO. It might take you a little more time to rank for the word, but unless you're going to make super niche sites, I don't care. I would take the first one by the way.
Thank you all. I figured by adding keywords like info or news, I could easily get a .com registered. no hyphens. not only its easier to remember but it mean something too. it was weird a $4 cpc and exact match search of over 100K, had a ...news.com available .
Multi-site strategy for rankings, as it increases the number of sites they can have ranking for any particular target keyword phrase. This multi-site strategy also helps mitigate some of the risks of search engine optimization. For competitive keywords, finding such domains can be a difficult task. However for long-tail terms it can be much more cost effective.
