    Hi ..

just wanted to get some ideas in here .. and see what you guys think about this ..

If I'm targeting ,let's say the keyword "digital point"
and I want to register a keyword rich domain ..

    digitalpoint.com is gone ..

    but I can register :
    pointdigital.com
    or thedigitalpoint.com

what do you suggest is better for the keyword "digital point"

    ??

    Any thoughts are welcome ..

    Thedigitalpoint is better.

google DOES care about the order of the keywords.

The best way to do this and I have had very great success with it is to simply add a letter at the end of the domain such as:

    digitalpointx.com
    digitalpointi.com etc

As far as Google is concerned, it's a website about digitalpoint and it will rank VERY nicely as long as the competition isn't really high!

You could also consider other TLDs like digitalpoint.net and .org. .com's are undoubtedly easier to rank for, but if you have a better SEO strategy than your .com competitor then you can easily beat him with a .net.

If you're determined you want a .com then I would go with orcasea's suggestion above.

The order of keywords is obviously important to SE's, so thedigitalpoint.com would be the better choice. Obviously mixing your keywords around is only going to confuse search engines.
