Now Even when searching for my domain name without .com, i am not able to see my website on 1st page. My site has held it's rankings good from the last more than 1 year buy suddenly the rankings dropped on last saturday 28th may. I know it is not banned in google but got a severe penalty. Can anyone will help me how to get out of this, how to get ranking back to normal. how to undo this penalty. My traffic is suddenly dropped, now worried about my site. Please get me out of this bad situation. Thanks in advance.
Yup look like some penalty for your website from Google as your website is nowhere in top 10 for its domain name even. Looks like, you have created too many backlinks for your website in quick succession using the same anchor text
Thanks for the reply guys, but i think the backlinks were not the only reason. By the way with "too many" how much u say. I generated backlinks in consistent way, not abruptly .Also i have a reasonable no of backlinks, its around 6000 which too comes in more than one and a half year. This looks pretty ok but still i consider the point, so how to diagnose this and any other reason and clues for the penalty.

Well, my site has only genuine content and I have not been doing anything improper (at least to my knowledge) but I've been hit by the same problem. So, I suppoes Google is doing some random penalties too maybe mainly concerning smaller sites.
Its called Google dance. Now days we have recognize that many site loose their ranking in 24 hours. if your competitors are doing good promotional work then it will happen. So don't lose hope keep doing good work. Google surly will rank high your website on search engine.
Please ensure that you have not involved in buying paid links. Because Google does not encourage paid links and you might get penalized for this reason.

Well i can take this but i don't think this might be the only reason as i have seen many other sites like me having same issue and doing well.Any other reason or possibilities and how to get out of this?
I never buyed link but yes i wan into link exchange program in the past. BUt now i removed all the outbound links.
And one thing here imust admit, i have some problems at my server root directory too. I have many pages which i created for the test and make them live and when test is over i changed the urls of those pages with new urls and removing those file which are now 404 not found
Hi there. I also think that you got hot by the panda that google have made. Just like before, google like fresh and unique content. To get back on track, try to create more fresh content for your site and update it regularly. Also, you can use social networking sites to promote your site.
may be Google has been penalized your website you need to check all seo activity after panda update maximum websites ranking have been fluctuated so check content and if possible then put fresh quality content with keywords density and other things. and also make some quality link so that you can get back ranking.
