    Hey guys,
I was wondering if I am supposed to get keywords with high searches, or low?

I am new to my niche, and googled some keywords, and found some that go for 20.4 Million per month (searches)

do i choose that keyword? Let me know thanks!

choose those related keywords to your niche, who have high search but low use in websites. so it is now up to you what decision you make

So would "cell phones", be a good keyword? Would I have a higher ppc?

You would need to find keywords./niche area that has high search volume and low in competition and competing search result pages. You may want to use some keyword research and niche research tool like Market Samurai for this. It has factors like SEOT, SEOC, PBR, etc. which give you a pretty good idea as to which niche and which keywords to go for.
