I know it is old question but i am still not clear with it.

How to find out appropriate keywords? Google keywords is great but that use to give a list of 100 keywords....what is basic principle of selecting keywords out of that list for and blog website...showing adsense advertisements???....Will be great help.

doesn't mater, if your content is crap, no matter which keywords you choose, still earns you nothing

Agreed. Keep adding high quality, keyword rich content. But don't over do it with the keywords.

One thing that can help you pick good keywords is to consider the user's intention. Searchers tend to use general words when they are searching for information and more specific words when they are looking to make a purchase. For example, a searcher may use the keyword Blackberry to find information about the different Blackberries on the market. However, they use Blackberry 9700 Bold to find a good place to buy one.

i think every thing is described in the video . just see the average CPC, then the competition. select the keywords which are at the mid position of competition.
thanks

Sorry I dont mean to rain on your parade but that video only shows how to search for kws
it doesnt shot how to CHOOSE kws that are low competition in order to target them for your Adsense sites

Good luck getting listed by using on the google kw tool to find your kws
nobody who understands kw research uses ONLY that tool

1. first you use the Google Kw tool to find kws and LOCAL.....searches EXACT
2. Then remember that the CPC that is displayed on the Google kw tool is NOT the correct CPC for Adsense
(I am surprised you people on this board do not know this)
The correct CPC for Adsense is obtained by clicking on the "Contextual Tool" in Google kw tool

3. Once you find kws you want to TRY to rank for you need to analyze the Google top 10 competition
this cannot be done well with Free tools . You need Market Samurai or Traffic Travis, some tool like that (yes they are not free)

Go to YOUTUBE
Select Videos for "market samurai Analyze Google top 10"
Watch those videos for about one hour

THEN you will learn how to REALLY analyze a keyword before you spend months making a website chasing a keyword that you have no chance of ever ranking top 3 on Google for

It is much more complicated than the video you showed, and If someone uses only that video they will waste months of time chasing useless keywords that have VERY high competition

By the way the "competition" shown on The Google kw tool is NOT the competition number you need
That Google kw Tool "competition" is the number of Paid adverstisers using Adwords Bidding on That keyword
that information is totally of no value. You are not an Adwords Account user, you are an ADSENSE account user
totally opposite
YOu need to learn what all those terms mean or you will waste months of time making nothing on Adsense

guys who make 2 dollars per day on Adsense This is why that happens
they dont know GOOD kw research, and they dont know how to analyze the competition
