Keywords phrases

    I have a keyword phrase which I have optimised for my site, but note that the phrase now has a low search volume. Two out of the three words have a significantly higher volume of searches.

    Will my keyword phrase give me a good result for these 2 words or do I need to change my site to target 2 words of the three instead of the three I'm using currently?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    say if your key phrase now is sour green apples, then your efforts will also work for sour green and green apples and to some extent sour apples

    You can, to help that campaign do some more inbound linking using green apples and sour green as anchor text :)
