    When I place the keyword meta tags in my web page should I break phrases down into individual words?

    For example:
    I have a computer repair business. I do hardware installations. On the page that lists my services, should I use
    <META NAME="KEYWORDS" CONTENT="Hardware Installation">
    or
    <META NAME="KEYWORDS" CONTENT="Hardware, Installation">

    I would separate it and do hardware, installation, and hardware installation. Keep in mind meta keywords don't make a big difference, the content on your site does. Good luck with ranking high for them!

    In SEO terminology, a keyword represents a search term that can be either a single word or a phrase. When you do keyword research, you get a list of keywords generated for your seed keywords. If "hardware installation" is a search term in your keyword list, it's actually a keyword (or you can call it a key phrase containing two words). So, you should be writing you meta tags as:
    <META NAME="KEYWORDS" CONTENT="hardware installation">

    If you have more keywords to add in your meta tags, then separate the key phrases with a comma.

    Hope that helps.

    I will suggest you if you want to it keep as your keyword 'Hardware Installation' than you can take it together. You can also you use 'Computer Repair as your keyword. It will be related to business or site.
