Keywords or Catchy Title in Domain Name

I am making a website but the domain names that would best fit the site are taken. The domain I wanted was similar youngsaver.com (I don't want to say the exact domain I wanted so one of the words is changed). I tried different variations of this, but all domains were taken.

My choices now are to add another word onto the domain name, such as youngsaverresource.com. I could also abbreviate the words infront of the domain to have a domain like ypsaver.com. Or I could use a short, one word domain that is "catchy" but does not have any key words in it. Which of these is the best choice?

    Thanks.

    Depends on your resources.

If you are promoting purely online then I suggest adding another k/word onto the domain.

If abbreviating then at least you get some of the benefits from a seo point of view.

If you are providing a service which people will use more than once then a catchy name will help people remember it when typing directly into the address bar.

    Hope this helps

I am creating an online resource/ information site with a forum. I want people to be using the service more than once.

To use use an obvious example/

    Digitalpoint

Didn't start as a forum. But is a good name for one.

I quite like the idea of shortend word and a keyword as in ypsaver.com.

    Hope this helps
