The service I wish to promote has maybe 20+ keywords, how can you possibly have good onsite text and be informative whilst trying to promote so many keywords ? Would the page not end up being Gobbledegook to read ? Sure we know about keyword density but I have other information that I think is important to convey to potential clients which takes word count up and density down. Hmm a dilemma, how do you approach this? Thanks
Firstly, if the themes are dramatically different, consider setting up different sites for the different themes. But if the themes are related then structure your website intelligently so that is split into different sections related to the keywords that you want to promote, and then have a load of separate pages - each page targetting one or two keywords.
You can have many keywords for one site, but just break it up so that you have different *pages* on the site, each page focusing on 1-3 closely related keywords. The site can be diet pills.com - one page on the site = 'buy diet pills' one page = 'diet pill reviews' etc You are correct that 20 on one page would be just pointless- but you can have as many as you want on a site, just break them up into pages. Things are heavily based on relevancy, so they should be 20 keywords on the same general topic if it's going to be on one site.
