So I wanted to learn about keywords... And I always heard that the best way to learn about something was to teach it. So, with that in mind, I wrote my first blog post about keywords. It's a little general, about how to find and target keywords in your blog. I did a bit of research from both here and other blog posts around, then got to writing.

Anyway, what I'm looking for is a bit of feedback from the experts. Is the information correct? Did I miss anything?

Blog Keywords: How They Can Help You

    Thanks in advance!

good job i think. It's important to do an effort in order to understand this topic in the best way as possible. Maybe I will do the same as you! good idea. I also recommend you to have a list of useful vocabulary, something like a glossary, and you can put it on your blog too. bye. :)

Not a bad article - but you're using the "advertiser competition" figure in the Google Keyword tool, when you should be analyzing "publisher competition." To do so, you need to do an in-depth analysis of the top search results for the keyphrase you're trying to rank for.

Absolutely correct. The idea here was to make it a little easier. In-depth analysis takes time and adds extra steps. So while this isn't a fool proof method, chances are that if the advertiser competition is low, then the SERP competition will be low as well. It's just a very quick way to get an idea of how fierce the competition may be to get into the SERPs.

Thanks for the comments, maybe I'll write another post explaining the in-depth method of truly determining SERP competition.
