I personally do not put all my keywords in the footer of a site as for some reason, it looks like keyword stuffing. Would love to receive feedback on this too. Thanks.
I do it with content. How could it possibly hurt? Check out what I did on these forums: http://www.myls1.com/ I bought the forums five months ago and Google basically had the whole thing spidered but it didn't even appear in the top 1000 for what Google Analytics now shows as the top keyword "f-body forums." Now we're page 1.
I like what 87Lakers has done. That would work well and does not look very spammy. Don't just list all of your keywords in your footer. You may get penalized if you just list them. Instead write readable content that includes your keywords.
Adding keywords to the footer can definitely help. I would suggest making them anchor text that links to another page on your site. That will help with your own SEO efforst for your site.
I would be scared of getting blacklisted or penalized for keyword stuffing. Better to play it safe and just spread it out throughout the normal text in a natural way.
I did some experements with this, and I have to say that you will be ranked higher in Google if you put more keywords or text mixed with your keywords in header. But you have to be carefully with this because Google dont like keyword stuffing.
Yes. Certainly have your main keywords in the footer, or as close to the bottom of the page as you can get. You want to use the main keywords for that page, not ALL of your keywords. Basic SEO is keywords in the Title, Description, H1 tag, body, and as close to the end of the page as you can get. Zeek
