Can you guys clarify something for me, please...when choosing domain names based on keywords, is it better to have a name that sounds right or a name with two keywords that rank well together. For instance, if the phrase "State Large" does well in the google adword tool, better than "Large State" even, (I'm just making this up btw) should I buy the domain "StateLarge"? Or, something like MoviesDrama even though it doesn't sound great those words get searched together a lot. If people are searching the words State and Large or Movies and Drama does that increase the chance of them finding my page? Thanks
from my experience having the keyword in the domain name helps alot and save lotof time/money. Unless you have enough money and resources to market your concept without having those keywords on the name.
In my experience also I have found it beneficial to use a domain name with relevant key words. Seems to help tremendously from SEO/ranking point of view. There's much more it it than a relevant domain name however I'm sure you'll find that it certainly helps. Andy.
From my experience, a domain with the keyword in it, if all other things are equal, will beat a domain without the keyword in SERPs for that keyword.
google ranks highly on a keyword in the domain name, I've gotten on the first page of low competition keywords several times just by installing wordpress on a site and I hadn't even written any content. they still had the hello world default wordpress post
You can make overture/suggestion tools in finding low competition kw. If you want better suggestion, try paid service. Don't use hypen.
