Whats the use of using: inverted commas and box brackets in adwords? Won't it lower the quality score if we have 3 different variation: 1. Keyword/Keyword phrase 2. "Inverted comma keyword/keyword phrase" 3. [Box bracket Keyword/Keyword phrase] Could you please explain how this helps, like normally when doing a search on google, i as a searcher just type in the keyword, so now since i'm in the advertiser's shoes I would like to know how it would benefit me... Thanks in advance..
Read first the http://adwords.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=6100&cbid=lmh3gvccfhps&src=cbhelp. Now you understand what is broad, phrase, exact and negative matching. I always only use exact match, sometimes phrase and never broad because i don' get highly target leads with broad matching, also you should use negative keywords like -free because you don't want no money crowd if you are promoting an ebook or similar paid offers.
Keywords are any words that you put in to trigger your ads. There are different types of keywords. Broad match, phrase match, exact match and negative keyword. Each of these have different purpose. The ones with " " are the phrase match keywords and [] are exact match keywords. Read up the adwords help center for more information on these
Hi, In my view if we start a new campaign we can have more broad match than exact and phrase, then after looking one weeks or months performance we will get to know the more core kwds for our campaign, which can then be changed to exact and phrase....
Senior DP members...Is this statement by 'saravan' correct?? Or is this correct: From what I understand that: phrase, exact and negative matching are the best way to receive targeted visitors.
From what I understand that: phrase, exact and negative matching are the best way to receive targeted visitors.[/QUOTE] yes you are correct but don't put lots of keyword in negative list as it reduces traffic drastically and whole campaign comes to halt.
