Keywords for specific country

How can i tell how many times a word is searched for in the UK only?

Also, if a site is set up for a service that is only available in the UK, if i host it with an american hosting company, will this affect my search if someone is searching UK only, cause of geo targeting?

Do i need to find a UK located server?

Yes server location will affect your SERP's depending on the searcher's SE settings.
