What are the google guidelines to place maximum keywords in a page? Like keywords density in a page 6-10% or more??
From the computer program Internet Business Promoter: "The keyword density of your web pages must not be too high or too low. If it's too low, your web pages won't rank highly for the search query. And if it's too high, the search engines might penalize your site. Many search engine experts recommend a keyword density of 1% to 7%" I really am a noob about SEO, but that comes from a well respected SEO software program, so that's all I can offer.
I'm no expert, but one suggestion is to analyze the density of a keyword for the top ranking sites for that keyword, and attempt to mimic that.
There are no official guidelines. But one should not go beyond 5%. Also include synonyms as Google uses LSI technology.
Keyword Density in SEO is a fiction and probably causes more laughs in the googleplex than any other subject matter. Search engines use term vector models but if you are not interested in the maths just write text using these guidlines and you will be fine. - Michael
Since the adoption of the LSI (Latent Semantic Index) keyword density is meaningless. There are a few things that will get you kicked out of any decent SEO meeting. The mention of: * Keyword Density * Toolbar Page Rank * Meta Tags
As I understand it, the LSI checks a body of text on each page for "natural language patterns". If a page contains the terms "peanut butter" and "jelly" it should also contain: "sandwich", "lunch" The LSI algorithm also checks for distance between associated key phrases so the days of keyword density as it existed in '99 are long gone. ... but there are ways to fool the LSI algorithm.
Forget about trying to rank for any words using this method. It used to be recommended to have 2-3% keyword density but now you must think about using LSI methods to rank for your keywords. Do a search on Google for info on LSI if you don't know how to use this method.
