Keywords By Category

Hello

I am having my home page www.mydomain.com/index.php and assigned specific keywords for my index.php page and having list of categories on my homepage, when some one clicks on any of its category it goes to page www.mydomain.com/index.php? Category=catname and I am programmatically check what the category is and then assign specific keywords to that page related to category selected is it ok … as SEs point of view.

Please suggest.
