I think it's something that's worth mentioning. Keyword research is so important, it's the foundation of any Adsense site building. Select the wrong keywords and you have wasted your time. Just last week, I manage to find a keyword that has 18,000 EXACT local searches. I repeat: 18,000 EXACT local searches And, the keyword brings in only 977,000 results. The allintitle: brings me only 13,000 results. I repeat: 13,000 results in "allintitle:" search This is a gem isn't it? Although the CPC is only $0.70, the huge amount of searches will make up for it. I have bought the exact match domain name, setup the blog, whacked in some unique content and will SENuke it slowly. I'll let you know how is it in 1-2 weeks time.
Of course that is a good idea but if you can find a highly-searched keyword, it works just as good as a high paying keyword.
As an update: The website is now 9th place in Google search for the keyword that I targeted. Getting about 10+ visitors per day. Adsense clicks came in yesterday. Ain't that cool?

OK, I've left this thread alone for a long time. Just to let you know that my last adsense earnings for this keyword is $50+ per month. Not bad at all!
lol yes indeed words are important as part of a system called AddWords. Get your competition under 300,000 and keep the in title at 10,000 and you have something you know is good on your hands. Check multiple sources for CPC, google itself isn't always the most accurate (which is unacceptable) A high competition and low in title can either mean a trademark, or a term that is already heavily saturated. if this does not daunt you, GOOD on you, because so many people leave untested opportunities abound...
