Ugh, I hate the practice, I really do but I do practice in it. Now i'm wondering since it's easier to get a comment in with a passive name such as your own name rather then keywords, it'd be better then risking having your comment shurgged off because it's named "love emoticon buttons".

So I know that keywords are important but I'm wondering whats more important, 20 keyworded comments on some blogs, or 100 "passive name" comments linking to your website?

I would suggest go with your name. Keyword will help in SERP, but it might also trigger spam alert in google and your site might get banned from that keyword.

How about 'Day Trader Dave' or 'Colin The Credit Expert'

Well if it's that case then It'd be better just be my site name rather then my keywords. If my site is Pink Coffee Mugs.com and I'm Youkator the Pink Coffee Mug God/Expert/etc I might as well just put Pink coffee mugs no?
