Hi, first up thanks for providing such useful (and useable) tools as the keyword tracker and charting function. I wanted to offer a suggestion for the Custom Charts Feature of the keyword tracking - it's a fairly minor point but it seems that when I set up a custom chart to track how a set of keywords is performing, the 'key' that shows which colour refers to which keyword appears on top of the graph so that the results cannot be seen. The problem becomes worse as you add more keywords and the 'key' box gets larger. Would it be a worthwhile improvement to position this 'key' box below the x (date) axis so there is no danger of it obscuring the results that are being tracked? Hope this is helpful and thank you again for providing such a useful tool.
The problem with that is it would make the image itself huge in some cases. The legend is already transparent, but I suppose I could monkey around with making it more transparent.
Hi Shawn, thanks for the reply.. i may be missing something here, so bear with me. 'The problem with that is it would make the image itself huge in some cases' You're right that the images would be bigger but not necessarily that much bigger than they are now... In those cases where someone is charting dozens (or maybe even more) keywords, wouldn't the image grow with the current layout anyway as the box containing the key extended up above the top of the graph? It's true that putting the key below the graph would make the images larger than the current graph in all cases.... but the maximum amount of growth over a current graph would only ever be the height of the current y axis of the graph. And I hope that the added usability of actually being able to 'see' the graph would improve this feature even more (Obviously, anything that increases image size > increases bandwidth > increases costs. Do any other regular users of the charting function have a view on whether this would be a helpful improvement??)
