    Hi,

    Obviously everyone's agreed it's a great tool, but I have a suggestion.

With all the interest in Google datacenters at the moment, is there anyway the tool can can be set up to tell us which datacenter IP we are hitting when we run it?

    Is that feasible?

Would it place too much of a load on the server?

I wouldn't necessarily want to store the results, but I'd be really interested to know which IP I was hitting so I could do some manual checks after a run.

    Cheers,
    Paz.

No, sorry... it doesn't use a specific data center. (See other threads about it)

    Oh... I am honoured.... :)

I did look through a couple of months posts but I concede I don't know how the API works. I don't mind if the API doesn't use a specific datacenter, I was just wondering if it used a unique one that was traceable and could be displayed on the report....

I've taken up enough of your time, so I've made this short reply form:

[ ] Yes. I'll add the function to the ranking tool.
    [ ] I'll think about it.
    [ ] No. I can't / won't do it.
    [ ] Kiss my *rse.... ;)

    Cheers,
    Paz.

All API requests are made to a specific host (api.google.com), which then routes the request as Google sees fit.
