How do the history graphs and charts work? I have just updated client that had the last update around April 2004. There are no numbers in the chart, and the daily/weekly/monthly change is 0.
It only will only show what you actually manually update. It does NOT store it daily for you automatically. That is why you see no numbers for the daily/weekly/monthly.
I realise that there are no automatic updates. This is not the issue. The problem is that there are times where there are no numbers in the history chart when there ought to be. And - if there was a "check results" update longer than 2 months apart, should there be a change noted in the "month" column, or is it correct that there is not change, since no comparitive figure for the "month".
Not sure about no numbers in history. I have been using it since Feb of this year for some keywords and I can see all of the history. In terms of results month-to-month, I am not too sure. Don't forget this is a free tool right . If you need something more robust, you can always buy something but I find Shawn's tool sufficient for my use.
And a fantastic free tool it is. Just wondering about whats up and whether it is a bug that Shawn needs to be/is aware of.
Well the daily/weekly/monthly change will be 0 because you don't have the needed data to compare. But it should show the historical data on the chart... If you click on the green arrow (when viewing the chart) does it show any detail?
Welcome back Shawn It is rather funny. When I press the green arrow, 9/10 times it doesn't show the data for some clients and shows either no information, or a 404 error. If I get the url of the iframe, I can see the page no problems. I can PM the clients log in details if you are interested in seeing the specific instances.
