When I first installed the script on my server and ran keyword tracker here it was fine. Not long after it seems, it became dead slow. I'll go in and hit check all and then it will be 24 hours before it's done. I started it about 3 hours ago and so far it has done four keyword phrases. Any ideas on how to fix this or what might be causing it? Thanks
Before when I have tried it, it pretty much simply wouldn't respond. I tried it just now, and it responded fairly quickly. After that, I just hit the check all link and it appears it is updating at a normal pace now. Very weird because it seems to be working normally again. Thanks for the response.
Nothing changed on this end... it could be there was some slowness issues between the server you are running your script on and Google (or the other search engines).
it's back to slow again. I ran a check all a couple of hours ago and it's only done about 7 keywords. I'm on a very fast dedicated server.
Are you tracking a ton of keywords? I suspect maybe your web server is going into a "DDoS protection mode" of sorts. It sees a ton of requests from a single source (our server), then starts throttling those requests to slow the "DDoS"... that's the only thing I can think of.
Try using the keyword tracker on a more powerful computer. I've had scripts "stop" when arranging lists of 8000+ keywords or domains, but I say keep running and it works on my new laptop, but never would have on my desktop (reminds me to get a new one). Everything seems to be working for me. ooo definitely check your security settings; so many times i've opened a page and thought it wasn't working then i noticed my NoScript was yelling at the page for being a naughty boy trying to run something against my will.
I'm only tracking I think 136 keywords. I will check with my host to see about the DDOS possibility. That may be what's causing the problem.
