First off, let me say this program is awesome and i use it everday. Thanks for a great tool. I have a few suggestions that might make it better. Once logged into the KWT, all the links should open in a new window. The reason for this is that when i am running queries to update my rankings report clicking on any links goes to another page and interrupts the queries. The ability to edit/delete multiple keywords would help changing stuff around in there. In the spreadsheet/reports it would be nice to have a link that opens a new window showing the results for that keyword in the corresponding search engine results page. Ex: after I run my report, i see that i am in 1+2 position for "automotive SEO" in MSN. I might want to actually see this in the SERP. So a link that opens this in a new window would be nice.
The check all process runs in it's own thread, so you can't interrupt it. Also, it used to open things in a new window, but did away with it because some users don't want to open things in a new window. And with a key (depending on your browser) you can always open something in a new window, but you can't stop from opening something in a new window with a modifier key. Editing multiple isn't going to happen (makes the historical data irrelevant then). Mass delete might happen someday, but it's not too high up on my priority list to be honest. Not sure what you mean with the link thing...
Let me explain the link thing... It would be nice to open a new window with the actual SERP of that engine with that keyword so that you can see exactly which page of your site is ranking well and what your competition look slike. Here's an example... In the KWT you have the table with your rankings that looks something like below. It seems a nice feature would be to add a link to this table straight to the SERP (opens in new window) by clicking on the name of the engine: custom web site design -- MSN 0 0 0 -- Feb 14, 2006 custom website design -- Yahoo -- 1 0 0 0 -- Feb 13, 2006 You get what im saying?
don't know if i'm misunderstanding your request or not - but it sounds like you are describing a feature that is already there. Clicking on the keyword phrase itself in the KWT will pop up the 10 surrounding results for that particular keyword phrase.
I dont beleive that is correct. If you click on the keyword itself, it runs a query to check the ranking of that particular keyword. I want a new window to open with the SERPs for that keyword to open when you click on the search engine name.
