I saw other troubleshooting threads on this, but it appears for them that they're using yahoo and msn as well. I only use the default google keyword tracker. I do NOT use a Yahoo or MSN key. I'm not running out of queries, nor am I getting any error messages. For the past two weeks or so, my readings have been innacurate on almost all of my keywords. Prior to that, all of my keyword ranking checks were 100% accurate. I get lots of -9999 problems and generally innacurate rankings. On some of my rank #1 keywords, they come up as 3 or 4. On some of my 4th ranked keywords, they can come up as 1 or 50+.... it doesn't seem to be systematic problems or any sort of regular schedule. My rankings vary depending on what time of the day I check them. The pagerank checker has also been problematic. I either get an accurate reading of the PageRank or an accurate reading of the number of backlinks. Seldomly both. I usually get a pagerank of 0 on my PR 3/4 sites... then it will be PR3 again. Perhaps someone can contact google and ask them if there would be any reason for the google API keys being problematic?
I've noticed this lately too. The -9999 problems are usually resolved by clicking on the keyword and querying again. But I've also noticed just plain inaccurate rankings for Google and MSN. Not all, but probably about half.
Have you compared results with McDar tool? I see my site on about half of the data centers and totally missing on other half. Now the data centers i am interested in are those showing BigDaddy. Shannon
i only use the tool for backlinks, pr, and indexed pages, and they have been all ovveeerr the place this week, as much as changing from showing the PR one minute, refreshing and it's down to 0, refreshing again and it's back up, all within minutes. But, some of my new sites have had their indexed pages and backlinks jumping around all the time, but their pr has remained at 0 for two days now. Checking pr across DC's it is upated on most of them but some still show 0
