I'm tying to fiure this out so heres what I found please help me understand. Example 1: I did a keyword search for - "Texas Motocross" The Advertiser Competition seems to be about 50% and a Search Volume is almost nothing. I'm sure I don't want to use this keyword with no search volume and advertiser competition so high. So I look down the list and see the additional keywords and find "Motocross Texas" has almost no Advertiser Competition and a Search Volume of about 25%. It's all looking good right? It looks like I can use the keyword "Motocross Texas" with almost no competition and a better search volume. Example 2: Well now, just to test this out I do a keyword search for - "Motocross Texas" The keyword Texas Motocross is now first in the list and has a better Search Volume then when I search for Texas Motocross and now Motocross Texas has almost no Search Volume and again no Advertiser Competition. It's crazy, you can take two words and search for them backwards and forward and get different results. Apparently I don't completely understand yet. Anyone have any idea how to explain this to me? Thanks Maybe this will help Search - Texas Motocross Keywords Advertiser Competition Search Volume motocross in texas 0 0 motocross texas 0 1 motocross tracks in texas 0 0 texas motocross 0 0 texas motocross track 0 0 texas motocross tracks 0 1 west texas motocross 0 0 Search - Motocross Texas Keywords Advertiser Competition Search Volume texas motocross 2 1 motocross in texas 0 0 motocross texas 0 0 motocross tracks in texas 0 0 texas motocross track 0 0 texas motocross tracks 0 1 west texas motocross 0 0
A similar case has been discussed before here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=92986 I think that is a small bug in Keyword tool that apparently occurs with inverse order keyword variation. is suggested in Keyword Tool. When you search for a keyword "xxxx yyyy" in keyword , the suggestion for keyword "yyyyy xxxxx" apparently comes with wrong statics for Competition and Search Volume.
Thanks... I thought this was something else I couldn't understand. Now with that being said I just want to make sure I have tis all right. If I find a keyword I want to use and there is no compition with 25% search. When i make my ad bid I could just bid .01 cause they have no other compition ads right?
Ok, after checking other words there is a real problem. no mater wat word you search for the ranks change. Search for any word and find a another keword in the list and see what the popularity (test any of them) find on in the list that has no competition and no searches. copy it and search for it and you can see the changes. suddenly the word that was in your list with no competition and no searches has tons of compitition and more then half on the searches. There is a reason why this is like this however i have no Idea why.
No, If you bid only $0.01 your keyword probably will be deactivated in search network - The bid price to activate a keyword is based on Quality score. The keyword competition is just a reference and you may not use it to decided your bid values.
Ok so if I do a search and there is no other ads out there and I make one for a exact match keyword with no other ads posted and i only offer .01cents for a click my ad will not show up? Even if Im the only one with a ad for that search?
I use several keyword search tools. Each one give's me different results. So I consider all of them before making a decision.
Yes i understand you do serveral searches however in your search for key words it makes a list of words right? In that list, you can pick out a word and see it's rankings under yous search right? now take that word and search it... the ranking are completely different
