    Global Monthly Searches: 5,000,000

    How reliable is the keyword tool?

    On the left side of the keyword tool, there is a section called "Match Types." Uncheck "Broad" and check "Exact."

    Broad tells you the numbers for a lot of related terms, and is generally considered to be useless.

    Aha... Got it! The exact match gives 180,000. Still a considerable figure.

    Is it reliable?

    It's reliable in most situations. Exception: Current events, such as "Alabama hostage" (which has 0 according to the keyword tool)
