For effective keywords analysis for any website or blog you should go for
adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal tool and get estimated last month traffic to related keywords to your website or blog theme. Once you find your keywords and estimated search in last month. you can assume that approximately 3 to 5% traffic can be get if you find top 5 position in google SERPs.

another effective tool is wordtracker.com. this is very near to effective search results.

Check the competitiveness of your intended keyword before you decide. There are plenty of low competitive keywords out with medium paying keyword. Wish you are luck enough.
