    Do any of you know of a free online tool that tells you how competitive a keyword is and how many searches a month it gets? I have been looking for a quality tool like this.

    I'm using this one - https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal - it displays the Advertisers Competition, Search Volume (month) and Avg Search Volume.

    You can also try the Trellian Software, but it's not for Free!

    For competition and searches on any particular keyword, word tracker is an excellent tool for keyword research. google adword suggestion tool is used to check the keyword relevancy.
