hi, I want to know keyword changes. I hope you all help with me. I am optimizing keyword for a site. what i know, how many times change the keywords per month or how long time. which keyword i have to change. how? becoz i put the keywords help with google keyword tools. some keywords not good for rank i think. so, that time what can i do? your suggestions most valuable. thanks in advance.
You are very unclear. Can you explain what you want? The keyword on a certain page must not chance but stay the same and get links with anchor text
You can analyse a keyword and its competition thru wordpress. It is paid but you can go for free trial offer for 10 days..this will help you for time being..
What I am asking, I put the keywords in website. some keywords are good ranking. some not good. So, I want to change that keywords (not rank) or not. if change the keywords, how? Then, how long time the keywords to take ranking? or how long time i am waiting for ranking search engines.
Try to do not only onpage optimization - if there are popular keywords you cant get a hight ranking without off page optimization. To advice wheather it would be better to change keywords or not i have to see web site
Thanks etot. this are the site - www.avmtraders.com what is the off page optimiztion for this site. any suggestion.
That is just ordinary.. to have a keywords with a good and bad position in SEs. Set atleast 2 to 3 months before changing your keywords. In that period of time you will be able to see what are those keywords you needed to change..
You have to change keywords if you see that it doesn't give any conversion or it doesn't give quality links.
You are the only who can answer that because yo own the site. Try to research your keyword first before going at it. When researching keywords make sure to check out how many sites are fighting over it and the strength of your competitor for tat keyword.
yeah good thing. thanks hersheys. but, how do find conversion and quality links for that particular keywords. any suggestion for me. because I am new. waiting for your valuable suggestion. thanks
On a well SEO'd site, you should rarely if ever change the keywords that a URL is targeting. If I decide I want to rank for "car maintenance" then I will create a page dedicated to that keyword phrase, and optimize it's <title>, <h1>, <h2>s, content, inbound link text, etc. for "car maintenance". If later I discover that it's not ranking well for "car maintenance", I would NEVER change the target keyword phrase... Who knows? In a month or two this URL might actually rank well for "car maintenance" because you pick up a few more relevant links. The existing inbound links for this page (if you've done your own link development) probably have link text of "car maintenance", "car care", etc. You cannot go back and change the inbound link text typically, unless those inbound links are paid links. So if I decided the old URL was not ranking well for "car maintenance" and that I would now like to target "auto maintenance", I would NOT change the optimization of the "car maintenance" URL. Instead create a brand new page and have its URL target "auto maintenance". Creating a brand new page for "auto maintenance" now allows your old page to continue to try to rank for "car maintenance" AND gives you a new URL with its own <title>, <h1>, <h2>s, where you can target ranking for "auto maintenance". You can then target "auto maintenance" on this new page and in its inbound link text from other pages on your site as well as external pages where you have done link development. Then create another page with a new URL for "car care", and another for "do-it-yourself care maintenance", and another for "DIY car care tips", etc. Then link all of these pages together as they are all very relevent to one another. On the "car maintenace" page have a little spotlight component where you have some thing like: So if I have 5 articles on my site targeting very closely related keyword phrases like the above then I would highlight the other 4 articles on each of the article pages... NOTE also that I wrapped an <h2> around the header for this little spotlight component and included the keyword phrase I'm targetting for this URL - Car Maintenance. I will typically have 4-8 small components like this that make up a page... each with an <h2> that targets the URL's targeted primary keyword phrase or a slight variation (or if applicable, the secondary or terciary phrases targeted in the <title> or slight variations of those). In otherwords: On the page targeting "car maintenance", I would link to the pages for "auto maintenance", "car care", "do-it-yourself car maintenance", "DYI car care tips". On the page targeting "auto maintenance", I would link to the pages for "car maintenance", "car care", "do-it-yourself car maintenance", "DYI car care tips". On the page targeting "car care", I would link to the pages for "car maintenance", "auto maintenance", "do-it-yourself car maintenance", "DYI car care tips". On the page targeting "do-it-yourself car maintenance", I would link to the pages for "car maintenance", "auto maintenance", "car care", "DYI car care tips". and finally... On the page targeting "DYI car care tips", I would link to the pages for "car maintenance", "auto maintenance", "car care", "do-it-yourself car maintenance". This creates a little hub of relevance in your site... These pages will actually help each other rank for their closely related keyword phrases.
I totally agree with Canonical. If your keywords are not bearing fruit, don't change the site, add to the site. You must keep adding relevant content to your site until you have a solid foundation for SEO in your site's niche. To change your site's focus would mean to start from scratch at SEO-ing your site. Build on your current content, and be patient. Rankings and popularity take time, and it all starts with what your site has to offer the end user. Build your site's information/content with your users in mind first. The more "naturally" your content is written, the better your users' experience will be; and that is what is most important.
Hi, day to day competition builds up and the search strategy of the user may change, i think every month you should analyze the keyword you are optimizing and the search volume it is having, if it is slight change no need to bother about it and if there is big difference in the search volume then you should optimize your web site with the real keyword which is having good search volume.
You have to be carefully analyze your keywords according to your site using online tools like wordtracker or keyworddiscovery. For new website you should use the combination of less competitive keyword to get rank easily , and then when it comes to changing your keyword. Make it sure that you reach the highest position in search engine ranking before changing your keywords into a combination of more competitive one.
seobook's kwd suggestion tool gave me some insights that I couldnt get in adwords. also sktool is helpful once you get the hang of it (usually works better with existing adwords accounts). google trends is magnificent too.
changing keywords in your onpage can be risky especially if the changes are drastic. you can get penalized for overoptimization.
Thanks for your suggestion ericajoieake. seobooks kwd suggestion tool some confusing finding volume and competative. google keyword tool is ok. thanks exit13 I dont know how is changing keywords become over optimization. because I am changing for related keywords only u know. then how is is penalized
