    Hi,

Sorry for a newbie question, but are you allowed to add extra keywords to a page to get a higher paying ad?

for example, I came across this page the other day and if you look closely at the bottom, you can see that they have added life insurance settlement and other stuffs that are not related to the site at all. As the matter of fact, they place the same paragraph on all their pages.

Well, it's not in their TOS\Policy but isn't suggested, you want the ads to be relevant directly to the content on your web page, since thats what visitors are looking for. It might also hurt your SEO of your web page.

Yes it is against the Adsense policy. It says "Excessive, repetitive, or irrelevant keywords in the content or code of web pages" under the site content part.

With that being said you can add keywords, just do it in a way that the keywords are relevant to your content, and not over done.

It is allowed I believe, but totally pointless because it won't be related to the content.

It's not allowed and that's written in the AdSense TOS. Stuffing won't do any good.
Visitors will get annoyed as well as Google if they visit your site.

If you think your visitors are going to click on a life insurance advertisement on an irrelevant website, you might as well place an affiliate banner and have a chance of making 50 times more than you would make with a $1 adsense click.

i just want to know if it's allowed .. because if it is ... i might give it a try to test it out to see how it compares to the payout of real, relevant contents ..
