Ok I have a domain name that I am going to register, yea I am not telling :) . Of course I want the domain to rank well for my keywords.

Anyway using the Google adwords keyword tool. It says it avg 3600 searches is this worth it or not? I am reading myself for the newest release and I want this one to be a winner for me.

    Thanks for the help.

If I am reading the google keyword tool correctly, it is monthly

    The full domain is
    help-losing-weight.info

I don't mind posting it since I went ahead and reg it.

help losing weight gets aprox 3500 monthly searches
    losing weight gets about 400,000

My competition for exact term help losing weight is about 56,000 pages worth
Losing weight is well over 8 million pages

bascially only one adword ad seen using the exact phrase help losing weight, so not much competition there. Though I am not sure if I am going to do an adword campaign or not.

    Thanks for the help everyone.

I beleive that having keyword domain is reallly helpful as I feel Google weighs more to the keywords in domain name then anything else and this strategy has proved me really fruitful

So, if its 3600 per day than you are surely in a great win win situation

Note that the number provided by Google of 3600 searches are "broad" searches... meaning that those searches don't necessarily represent people who are searching for the exact phrase "help losing weight"... If you want the exact number of searches for the exact phrase "help losing weight" then you have to change is from "broad" to "exact"...

To save you some time the searches for the exact phrase "help losing weight" is 880 searches per month...

880 searches per month equates to about 29 searches per day with 56,300 competing web pages in one of the most competitive niches.

I hate to burst your Bubble and I wish you all the best

    But, Goooood Luck! ;)

Thanks for all the help everyone. I know it is a tough niche, I am not relying solely on those exact keywords. I am going to generate traffic other ways, articles and more. Just wanted to get a good keyword rich domain. Hey for $1.49 what do I have to lose right :)

    Thanks again for the help
