I was using the google adwords keyword tool...I have 2 words I wanted to see the competition for...Both words combined don't show up. Does that mean people don't search that phrase? For example...(making this up) baseball confidence don't see the two together in google keyword tool, does that mean it is not a popular search term at all? I did find a similar phrase only show up like 73 searches in a month, is that to small?
Hey there, The Adwords keyword tool looks at PPC information, while Google's search based keyword tool (http://www.google.com/sktool/#) looks at organic search volume. The very best insight you can glean is from the search page itself - but again that depends on if you're planning this keyword research for a PPC campaign, or one for SEO. If they don't show up in the keyword tool, or show up with very little volume - it is likely not very popular. If you decide to share the keywords you are actually looking to find out the competition around, I could probably provide you with more insight. It would also help if you shared what your plan is - whether you're going to use this information for organic or paid search, etc - it would narrow down what tools you should/could use and how to go about finding the information you need. You can PM me, or share it here (in case other people are wondering the same thing as you are) and I'd be glad to give you my insight. Anyways, best of luck! -E
Keyword you are looking to target to me is just wastage of links, just 210 searches per month , you can get it on top , just use this in title , and post that page on bookmarking sites. Also i suggest to use any other tool, like wordtracker.
